Is SmartPromo only for associations?

No. Though oriented for associations, SmartPromo is a complete group promotion mobile platform, making available to any association, federation, or group of companies or business places a very high quality mobile application. It's also an ideal app for public administrations which want to promote their regions or influence areas and to position as a Smart City by publishing a mobile application.

SmartPromo is a perfect mobile app for: catering associations (restaurants, bars, cafes, pubs, concert halls, leisure venues...), travel and tourism (cottages, hotels, SPAs, touristic consortiums, hostels, campings...), professional associations (shops, stores, enterpreneurs associations and federations...), cultural associations (shows and events, museums, art galleries...), franchises, or public administrations that want to promote their regions, wilderness areas, xmonuments and touristic and cultural points of interest (councils, cultural areas, tourism and development...).

What does it mean that our association will have its own app?

That means that each assocation has a unique and differentiated app on the App Store and Google Play, adapted to the identity and corporate image of each association. If you sign up for SmartPromo for your association, users will download the app of your association, not a generic SmartPromo app with the content of all associations that signed up for SmartPromo all mixed.

This way the content, the users and the resources of your app are absolutely independent of the rest of apps, because the goal of SmartPromo is to promote and improve the image and visibility of your association to increase loyality of your clients, encourage getting new leads and increase your profit.

Can I have a SmartPromo with more than 1000 members? And with less than 20?

In both cases, yes, you can have your SmartPromo with any number of members. If you have between 20 and 1000, the price of your SmartPromo is the one that appears in the web. If you have less than 20, the price per member is a bit higher. If you have more than 1000, the price per member is lower. Anyway, contact us.

The power of SmartPromo, regardless its suitability for small sets of companies, boosts proportionally to the number of members, because among others of the social and communicative nature it has.

Can I have a SmartPromo for an association of a whole province, state or region?

Of course, SmartPromo has no geographical limits. Due to its characteristics it's an ideal platform for Smart Cities, and so it is for bigger areas like counties, regions or even full countries. Member companies do not have to belong to a specific geographic region: SmartPromo works perfect for business placed at different parts of the world.

Can I add more members than those initially contracted?

Yes. The CMS of SmartPromo allows you to add as many members as you wish at any time. Since billing is monthly based, each month you will be billed for the number of members that you have in your SmartPromo that month. If you opt for annual early payment with discount and you add some member companies a certain month, next month you will be billed for the difference.

I want to contract SmartPromo. When will it be up and running?

Since you sign up for your SmartPromo, it will take at least 5 days approximately until the apps are available for download on the App Store and Google Play.

You can access the CMS in just a few hours after signing up; then you'll have to add content before publishing the apps. Once done, the SmartPromo Tech Team uploads the iPhone app to Apple, who must review before approving it. This process, that can take between 5 and 15 days, depends only on Apple.

Who will be able to use our mobile app?

Your application will be available for download on the App Store and Google Play, in more than 130 countries.

Do our users have to sign up to use the application?

No, it's not necessary. Even more, it's not a good idea to force users to create an account to be able to use the app; it's far better allowing them to test it, even without all features, so that they are who voluntarily create their accounts. In SmartPromo, users without a profile will be able to see all the content of the application and share it in other social networks, but they won't be able to interact with it. To add ratings, pictures, likes, sign up for events, etc. and share those actions they do need a user profile.

What happens if a user adds inappropiate content to our app?

SmartPromo allows you to moderate the ratings and pictures added by your users. You can block any of them if inappropriate. You can even block a user if his behavior within the application is inappropriate.

Also, the mobile application allows your users to privately inform you about inappropriate content in your app by sending reports.

It also offers you different configuration options when moderating content added by your users. For example, you can opt for not to publish anything in real time, and only when administrators approve the content it will be visible in the mobile applications.

What does it mean that SmartPromo apps are native?

Generally speaking, there are two ways to develop a mobile app: natively and with multiplatform tools.

Native development means that a specific design and development is made for each platform (iPhone and Android), which allows us to optimize the UI (user interface), the aesthetics and mainly the UX (usability). Native development, adaptive design and UX optimization make the user experience with the mobile applications to be soft, pleasant and intuitive.

Multiplatform applications usually ignore those aspects, are rough and error prone, which in 99% of cases leads to bad user opinions, the abandonment of the application and, ultimately, a bad promotional brand image.

Apps of SmartPromo are available for iPhone and Android, reaching the 96,3% of the worldwide smartphone users.

If we enter lots of content, will our app be slow when loading?

No. The speed of the apps is independent of the amount of content you add.

Also, unlike other services, every SmartPromo app runs on its own servers, with its own resources. Your app won't have to share server with other SmartPromo apps, so those resources (bandwidth, storage, RAM...) are all for you.

Not only that: SmartPromo's architecture is distributed, replicated and highly scalable, guaranteeing the maximum flexibility and availability of your data, and allowing any traffic.

What is the SmartPromo CMS?

CMS means Content Management System. It's the web admin panel where you manage your app from. There you can add, edit or delete any content: members, events, pictures, notifications... and check all the usage stats in a very simple and intuitive way.

The CMS is localized to multiple languages and has multiple help panels where you can find instructions on how to perform common tasks.

Can I administer the app with my tablet?

Yes, the CMS of SmartPromo is responsive. This means that both the general admin and the administrators of member companies can access it with any device (desktop computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.).

What are PUSH notifications?

PUSH notifications are alerts sent to app users. A very simple example is when you receive a WhatsApp message or an email and your smartphone notifies you with a sound and a visual alert: that's a PUSH notification.

An important aspect of these notifications is that the user doesn't have to do anything to receive them, not even open the app, they just have to have the app installed. This makes PUSH notifications a very powerful tool for promoting and spreading news, events, offers...

In SmartPromo, notifications can be scheduled to be delivered at a specific time, ensuring they arrive just in time.
